@Mackysimms when you are looking at an alpha pattern, braceletbook adds a base string to the number on top. So always cut 1 base string less than what it says. The extra base string is your leading string, aka your first/background color. In this pattern, cut only 14 base strings. If you want an easy way to know the dimensions, it says it beside the number of base strings at the top. 14x71, meaning 14 base strings and 71 rows. If you have any questions i suggest looking at Masha Knots' video on how to make alphas and how to read alpha patterns. Hope this helps!
By 15 strings? Does this mean 15 base strings or… because I’ve just tried this pattern and cut 15 base strings. But it’s incorrect because I have an extra knot on the side. 😑
