@katieee for patterns like this I would tape the background string with the base strings but don’t add enough to make another base string, just do a little bit. Then you just keep making the forward backward knots and then cut off that string when your finished making the bracelet
This is so cool, I just started making alpha bracelets and mine doesn’t look as good as anyone’s so I am a little disappointed but I am going to try to finish this and see how it go’s
@Tweer66 I search YouTube all the time so I guess stuff just shows up for me right away! 😂 😂 We're not allowed to post links here in comments, but if you find Masha Knots on YouTube, she has a video called "Teardrop loop for alphas." And there's another video by Knot Your Average Bracelet called "How to make triangle ends on alphas" that shows how she ends the bottom. If all that fails, you can at least see the normal teardrop start on pattern #25054 called "Triangle ends after a loop" and you would just end the bracelet the in the same way going backwards. 😄 And @mmmoments has a "macrame loop" tutorial, but it's for a smaller pattern, so you'll want it tapered in 2 triangles (like #25054) so the loop isn't totally huge. 😊 Hope that helps a bit more!
@sodapop thanks! But I actually went and searched in you tube but I did not find a single video. Is there anything you recommend trying or if it’s ok if you can tell me how you learned it or found a video?
@Tweer66 she made both the start and end the same way as for normal pattern teardrop/triangle ends instead of for regular alpha triangles. You can find video tutorials on YouTube by searching "alpha teardrop loop" or "triangle ends." 😊
