Wasn’t to much of an issue, but did anyone else have one string that got way shorter than all the others while making this bracelet?

@sarah916 most of the knots that are made on the same color you could make rly any knot and it would look the same

I just kinda think that it's hard to keep the edges straight on this one mostly bc it's a 1-2-1-2 pattern but I think if u get it figured out it looks really cool! 😄

@cwispy2294 to make a triangle/teardrop start, let's first deal with an even amount of colors, just using 4 "A" strings and 4 "B" strings. Since they should be double the length needed, you actually have 2 super long strings of each color. Fold one "A" in half, then thread one "B" through that loop so they're folded around each other... now you basically have 2 same-color strings on opposite sides. Do that again. Then for the remaining odd strings, one will just have to be folded into the loop with a extra "tail" hanging out for a bit, and the other string can be used to make the larks head knot and start covering the other strings for the loop. Once the loop is secured, you'll just have to cut off those little stray odd ends when you start making the pattern. It's kind of awkward, but it's the only way I know to do it. 🙈 Also, Empatheo on YouTube has some great tutorials on different types of loops and starts for uneven patterns.

@sodapop, I love this pattern! It is also great to combine with multicolored tread and the straight edge technique (no need to extra strings).

@layal_D a good length for each string extends from your fingertips all the way to your opposite shoulder. 🙂

@szarnosky I think straight-edge technique always looks nicer. 🙂 But for this pattern you don't even need to add extra string, you can just change the knots on the outside edges to be forward-backward or backward-forward knots instead. A video on pattern #23211 shows how 😉
