I made this using the following DMC colors: A: 340 (purple) B: 211 (lavendar) C: 738 (tan) D: 964 (mint green) E: 502 (dark sage green)
I used about 85cm/33" per strand -- so double that for each color. That was barely enough for 5 pattern repeats before the A color ran out. Longer strands next time!
(I might not have run out if I had done things exactly as marked; instead, I followed mashaknot's suggestion of "filler" strands on either edge to make the edges straighter, but that added more knots, which I hadn't taken into account when I estimated the strand lengths...)
