I finally made a bracelet following my own pattern and it was a struggleeeee 😂 Everything that could've gone wrong, did. I had to redo the beginning loop for 3 times, then had to deal with horrible constant crookedness which I only managed to fix closer to the end, then I ran out of half of the threads before finishing which has't happened to me for many years... BUT I finished it, am very proud of myself and going to do it again with different colours. 10/10 experience, highly recommended.
Ok, now I get it. Knot 7 in row 1 should be a bf knot instead of a fb knot. I also noticed that but didn't think that was what you meant.
And now I also understand that you mean symmetrical when starting with a triangle start, not symmetrical when you are starting with a full horizontal row.
@halokiwi I'll try! See, if you look at the pattern closely, you'll see that it's not symmetrical where the loops are. The upper loop closes entirely with blue (row 1, knot DA), whereas the lower one has a top of a grey triangle where the loop closes. I prefer the second option, that's what I meant when I said it should be colour A (grey) instead of D (blue). Hope it helps.
As for row 13 and symmetrical order – my bad, I wasn't clear enough! I meant, the sets are symmetrical if you start with an "upside down triangle". Have a look at the pictures I uploaded, I start almost every bracelet the same way, and this is what I mean 🙂
For me it looks like rows 9 and 25 are the ones with symmetrical string order. Row 13 doesn't seem to have symmetrical string order.
If you don't mind, could you explain what you meant by "DA should be colour A, not D"? What exactly is DA? It broke my head a little to try to figure out which of the strings you could mean.
@halokiwi I'm afraid I can't change the order of the knots in a variation, I would have to create a new pattern 😭 and thank you for your research! I figured you could start from any row as long as a SET of colours are symmetrical so I started mine from row 13 and it worked just fine!
