@natalies2 it means that is where you stop using that colour string or where it enters or leaves the pattern. when you finish the pattern the strings do not actually stick out the sides like the pattern says you just cut them off close to the actual bracelet. @cha alpha patterns include an additional knotting string that doesn’t get tied around. A pattern 6 wide would have 7 strings- 6 base strings and 1 knotting string!
