@Maialynn if you start knotting in diagonals right from the start you can just lay the strings in the order you want them and then start knotting. This only works if you start knotting with a full diagonal. If you start in a horizonal line it's a little more complex.
dont make this bracelet if this is your first ever bracelet ever! make the chevron which uses the two original knots that way you not only know how to make one knot but two. Trust that this not the right one to do if you are starting out. It is a good bracelet but not the very first one you should do if you are a begginger
