when tying a shaped normal pattern, you have two options: leaving floats or hiding the loose strings in the edges.
Hiding the strings works exactly like doing triangle starts and ends.
If you haven't done those yet, I recommend watching one of the videos posted to
#23580
to understand how shaped normals like this one work.
