Finished 12/12/2025! I made this as a Christmas gift for my abuelita! My fingers are sooooooo sore ๐ฉ Before I started this, I had completely lost my bracelet making calluses. This project brought them back in full force. I started off by using @crescendos tutorial for triangle start with no loop. Then I segment knotted the pattern which was more fun than segment knotting a normal chevron, but challenging on some of the upside down V shapes. I ended up just working in the regular V shape as I went through it. Since this bracelet has no ties, it had to be longer than I usually make them. I really thought I could tough it out until my strings got super short, so I sloppily attached more string and then ended up having to deal with those knots protruding from the bracelet. It's not too bad, but I learned my lesson to just properly add in more strings when they get too short. And then ending it was another battle entirely. I looked at @crescendos triangle ends with no ties method, but I didn't like the idea of gluing the strings down, so I did a variation of a normal triangle end (which was probably overkill, with the amount of knots I did). I used the gray strings to tie all the other strings together, then cut the other strings once they were secure, and then separated out the individual strands of the gray strings and used them to sew the snaps on! Using snaps instead of ties was something my mom wanted me to try on bracelets for her, but I made this one first as a present because I already embroidered something for my mom's Christmas present. I was almost done sewing the first half of the snap when I realized I did it backwards ๐ญ and then on the second half I sewed it so much that it doesn't sit flat when they snap together, but it connects well enough. Overall, big learning process! Very glad to get this pattern out of my to-dos, I'd recommend if you want something a step up from a normal chevron. I'm moisturizing my hands and taking a well deserved rest.
