@aka_kaz thank you so much, that was detailed explanation… I’m trying out, I just realised I cut the wrong number of stings, will untie and restart…Thank you again @pierrot and @aka_kaz. 😇 |

@craftnflow What I did was pretty much the same as @pierrot but I did all f knots on the edges. To be specific for each edge: Top left: each knot is a f knot of a different string, and that string will not be part of the "bundle" in the next row Top right: each knot is the same string, and you leave out one of the base strings for the next layer Bottom left: each knot is the same string, a forward knot onto all the other strings. You'll need to pull pretty tight for it to look right. Bottom right: each knot is a different string, just a forward knot onto the all the other strings. The forward knots for the top right and bottom left might feel a bit unnatural to make, since the knotting string is on the right of the base strings instead of the left, but I just pulled it over to the right and then made a forward knot as normal. And at the bottom/top of each diamond, I would do a knot over all the strings with both colours Also, I think our methods give two different effects, mine is more flat where pierrot's has a more prominent border, so it just depends which look you want for your bracelet! |

@craftnflow hey! I don’t add an extra layer to the pattern like the shaped pattern tutorials recommend— where this pattern has all f knots on the edges, I just do bf/ fb knots instead.the rest is normal shaped pattern stuff: For the top half of each diamond, I include all that side’s strings in the first knot and exclude one from each knot after that. For the bottom half, I include the string of each previous row into the knots. (I dont know what @aka_kaz does differently, but those edges are much more defined!) |
