To be able to knot without the pattern: * knot the beginning by pattern, so you have something to hold onto * First and last string of the 4knots rows are always bf and fb * All knots are reversing (except for 4), so you can see by the color which string you need to use. * The 4 exceptions are all in 3knot rows and in 3 rows. The first starts at the beginning of the wavebase, 2nd is in next 3row and the final 2 are in the next 3row thereafter.
This helped me to knot without theneed of thepattern and made it more enjoyable.
I really like the outcome, it reminds me of the great wave by Hokusai. The knotting process itself however was not that enjoyable. I personally do not like patterns with many fb and bfs and when i need to have to look at the pattern a lot. Eventually i could knot without the pattern and then it was more enjoyable. To be able to do this, i will post my tips and tricks in the next comment.
