@frogjuice hey, it's not the best photo but I hope it helps. The tree on the left I used @halokiwi tutorial where you hide the extra strings in the knots of the pattern. The tree on the right I did a normal triangle start, made the first 10 knots, then shaped the bottom edge like triangle ends only sideways? Anyway I don't think there is any wrong way to make a pattern.
