@sad_knots For me, the easiest way is to segment knot is to make diagonal rows to the center like a regular chevron. I do almost all patterns this way, whether in the V shape or upside-down. So in this pattern, you could make the V shape with basically 2 knots of each color in the diagonal... the 2nd knot switches direction, to let the next color take the lead for 2 more knots etc. Or you could build it from the center outwards (up-side down chevron) would be my preferred method. Each diagonal row on the left is either all Forward knots or all Forward-Backward knots, and mirrored on the other side. It may help to print the pattern and draw between the diagonal lines to see it more clearly. 😊
