@Salmonela I think what they did was start with all the base strings, and when the pattern decreased by one, they just put the base string that would be hanging out with the next closest base string and knotted over the both of them. then when the pattern goes out again, you just pull them apart and knot onto them separately again. similar technique to doing triangle ends. you can look up a tutorial on youtube also 😇
