@ToriB67 usually the person starts with a string going horizontally and they start the project by looping their base strings over that string with larks head knots (just like you would start a wall hanging on a wooden dowel). Then when they're done, they'll cut the sides off of the starting string so it doesn't hang off the sides 😊
