@violinwitc thank you! Yes, I did knot base strings into the pattern. I also usually use this technique to make bracelets that exclusively have names/letters. In case you wanted an explanation: when you’re making forward knots with the leading string, you backward-knot the base string onto the leading string and vice versa when backward knots.
