Hello! Thank you for stopping by ๐ I am affectionally known as Kash and here is a little about my journey so far with knotting friendship bracelets.
In the summer of 2012; having finally graduated high school, I was idle for the first time in 12 years of my life. Gone were the days of cramming in homework, last minute deadlines, exams and a monotonous school routine.
Endlessly scrolling on Facebook and YouTube, I stumbled upon a friendship bracelet community and the rest is history! My interest developed into a hobby and 13 years later my hobby developed into passion ๐
During that summer, I was instantly gravitated by the art of knotting friendship bracelets and was amazed by how much you can do with something simple as embroidery floss and crochet thread. I obsessively knotted over 50+ friendship bracelet patterns over the rest of the year and gradually the following year transitioned to making small YouTube video tutorials , sharing my creations online and becoming a regular member of the knotting community.
Going through life in general, I have been knotting on and off for the past 13 years and regardless of whatever in between I never stopped loving this beautiful art. The calmness I feel when the thread flows between my fingers, the tightening of knots giving me a sense of closure and security, the pattern coming to life bringing me a sense of hope and happiness. This is a feeling only doing something you love can bring and I would not trade it for anything.
I am still learning everyday as well as love to teach and share my passion with others. Join me on my knotting journey and I hope I can inspire you with your art just as I am inspired by my own in many ways.
