Hi @colorsun1 I try to explaine: If you watch the pattern, for the left side, you do a forward knot with string nr. 8 (red) around strings nr. 1 - nr. 7. Then you do a forward knot with string nr. 7 (purple) around strings nr. 1 - nr. 6, then forward knot with string nr. 6 (blue) around strings nr. 1 - nr. 5 and so on... so you have the 8 strings ready for knotting row 2 till 9. After knotting, for the right side: you do a backward knot with the light blue string around the blue string, then a backward knot with the yellow string araound the light blue and the blue, the a backward knot with the orange around the yellow, light blue and blue, and so on. The opposite as for the left side 😊 I hope, you understand my explanation!
