I haven’t made this one yet, even though I made the pattern. There is a way to add stem to the green part after the knot but it involves twisting the string before adding the next knot. You have to kind of wind it. I haven’t had a chance to test it and there isn’t really a way to show that part in the pattern. I haven’t another pumpkin one I did too.

There is also a way to triangle start or end the pattern to build up the shape. If you want to get a bit more complicated. I saw it on another pattern and it would work for this. I haven’t knotted this one yet, so I still have to tinker with how it’s knotted.

@Sadie22 you have to gather all the strings on the left side in the Black forward backward knots, and the right side in the backward forward knots. Like I said it’s like a daisy chain.it’s done before and after each pumpkin….. but the amount of chain knots is up to you, I usually do 6, but opted for 4 in this pattern. Look up a daisy chain and that will help you with most of my patterns.

For rows 12-16 how do you make it so the strings don’t stay in the middle, if that makes sense

Ya it’s a daisy chain type pattern so it’s knotted a certain way! I have a whole slew I’m gonna make that I just designed. The fun part of this one is you can extend the stem part and give it a little twist, befor you knot it down!
