@tprice Hi there! I'm so excited for your first alpha! For odd number alphas, my suggestion is to use the string left over as your leading string. What I do is a larkshead knots normally until the last base string (make sure it's on the side you'll be starting the pattern - left side) with the color being the 1st one needed in the pattern. I make that larkshead with the string still on the bobbin so you can just start knotting from there. Another option is to simply double up the last base string. I really hope this helps! I believe there are videos on this site and YouTube if you need it visually. ✨😊

I have a question. How are you putting the strings on the rings if not with larks heads? Pattern calls for 19 strings, but larks heads would give you 18 or 20.
