Hi guys!! Welcome to the Out of your comfort zone challenge! The idea is that you choose to work on a pattern that is “harder” then what you typically choose to do or something entirely new. The goal is to improve your skills! 🙂 To enter, first tell me what your comfort zone is, then tell me which pattern you will do and why it’s outside your comfort zone (e.g. I like making bracelets with 16 strings, I will make [pattern] because it has 20 strings). You may submit one entry. When you’re done don’t forget to write “Out of your comfort zone challenge” on the photo and to update me Your comfort zone can be whatever you want! But here are examples if you need ideas - Bigger string count - Bigger colour count - Make an alpha or normal if you’ve only done the other (or rarely do the other) - Learn a new hobby (cross stitch, crochet, beads, etc.) Rewards 1st place: I’ll add a variation to a pattern of your choice, 5 stars to 12 of your patterns 2nd place: 5 stars to 8 of your patterns 3rd place: 5 stars to 4 of your patterns All participants: friend req (if you do not want one please tell me) Signups close on Jan 10 and the challenge ends Jan 20 Feel free to ask questions 😊 |

Ooohhh such a cool idea! I'm currently learning how to make alphas, and #165133 caught my eye! (Although it has a lot of colour switches, wich I'm still getting used to) I'd love to make it for this challenge : ))

I mostly make alpha bracelets, but I also enjoy making normals, especially shaped ones. However, I tend to stick to simple shapes, and rely on photos to see how it should be done. So, I want to challenge myself with #188091, which is a complex-shaped normal that doesn't have any pictures yet.
