Your main goal is to create 100 projects but with a fun twist. You can make bracelets, keychains, wall hangings, bookmarks, and earrings (earrings count as two for one pattern if you make a pair). Cross stitch, crochet, or beaded works do not count as they are harder to score and judge equally. You can make more than one project for one pattern. Anything you make for this challenge can also be used in other challenges if you want. As you work towards your goal of 100 projects, you can earn bonus points by completing projects that fit into the categories. The person with the most points at the end of the challenge wins. Reaching 100 would get you a better chance at winning but I will be scoring quality more than the amount made. The more projects you make, the higher your total score/points.

HOW IT WORKS:
There are 6 categories listed below. If projects fit into these categories, you get bonus points added to your score. One project can fit into up to two different categories. If 5 bracelets fit into a category, you get 1 extra point. If 10 projects fit into a category, you get 2 extra points. If 15 bracelets fit into a category, you get 3 extra points and so on. You do not need to make projects based on the categories. The categories are more of a way to make the challenge more engaging.

CATEGORIES:
🧩Complex - 18+ strings for normals or 25+ strings for alphas
🌈Colorful - 5+ colors for normals or 8+ colors for alphas
🎊Themed - holiday or seasonal themed projects
✍️Text - projects that include words, names, or numbers
🎲Experimental - a pattern that does not have any photos
🎬 Films/Books - projects that are based on books, movies, games, or music albums/artists

BASIC RULES:
You must label your picture. For example, if you have made 10 projects already and are submitting a picture for your eleventh project, you label the photo 11/100. If you make multiple of one pattern label the photo as 11-16/100.
The project must be completely finished. Which means you must include your ending or ties in the photo.
You must update me at least once a month or every 5-10 projects. Your update must list how many you have reached and tag the patterns according to the project number that it is. Also make sure to tell me what categories each project fits in to so I can keep track and add up all of the points towards the end of the challenge. If it doesn't fit into any category just leave it blank.
Example: 5 Made
1. #1 categories _____ and _____
2. #63 category _____
3. #410
4. #208
5. #2

SCORING:
Each project is out of four points. This counts towards your final score.
1 point for endings/ties. (This means that you get one point for having the ends/ties in your photo)
1 point for the correct number. (This means that the number in your photo must correspond with whatever project it is like project five would be labeled 5/100 and not any other number)
1 point for neatness. (This means that your project comes together well with the colors, ending, background, etc. but I will not be strict with it since everyone has a different style of making bracelets)
1 point for edges. (This means that the edges look relatively straight since not everyone has perfectly straight edges)

PRIZES:

I know I listed the patterns I did, but I’ll list it again since I didn’t know the categories

1 keychain of #163862
1 keychain of #47749
1 bracelet of #136506 in the colourful category

Hope I understood the rules correctly. Hope you have a good day. 🙂

Questions about the “ties in photos” rule:
1. Do they have to be pictured clearly, or can they be blurred in the background?
2. Do both the ends have to be shown? Or is it ok if just, say, the ending is shown?
3. Do the endings and the ties both have to be shown, or is it fine if it’s just the ties?

Long question, haha!

Also, could 1 creation have multiple categories? Sorry for asking so many questions 😢

@Pollycash Thank you for listing them again with the categories. And yes that’s what I was thinking for how to use the categories. One creation can have or fit into up to two categories.

@QueenVia22 The ties in your photos can be blurred as long as they are visible somewhere in the photo. The ties/endings in the photo is mainly just for me to see that each project is completely finished. I labeled them as ties for mostly bracelets and the endings mostly for keychains and other things.

Oohh yippee! I'm glad the challenge has started! I had a couple questions about the categories! So you only get bonus points for every multiple of 5, and not for every project that fits into a category? And if you make 10 projects that fit into a category, do you get 2 or 3 points total? Like 1 point for 5 and 2 points for 10, or would it be like 1 point per 5 projects that fit into a category? I hope I phrased my questions clearly haha, thanks for hosting this challenge!

And also, I'm planning on making rings with seamless ends (so you cant see the endings) can I submit those for the challenge? Since you get a point for endings/ties

@poesemiew Yes you only get extra points for every multiple of five in one category and not for each project. And you get one point per for every multiple of five instead of increasing. Sorry if I made it confusing in the challenge. Seamless ends for projects also count as it’s mainly for me to make sure each project is completely finished for the challenge.
