Hi, recently I’ve been thinking a lot about exploring my gender identity. I’m currently a girl (she/her) but I’ve been thinking about transitioning to a demigirl and using she/they pronouns. The problem is I’m really scared to, and have never had any LGBTQIA+ labels. I’ve tried playing different genders in video games and it isn’t cutting it for me. Also I’m not certain I am a demigirl and just want to try it and see if it’s me. If I do as a temporary thing and just try it for a little while should I come out? I’m really confused about myself and don’t know what to do. If you have any advice please let me know, and if your a demigirl/demiboy please tell me how it compares to being a boy or girl. Also if you have coming out advice I would appreciate it. Thank you so much for reading this, I really needed to get this off my chest

Try experimenting with different clothes or introduce yourself to new people with the pronouns you want to use

Honestly, I think you should first start with thinking about yourself in the way you want to, using different pronouns or dressing differently, and if you want to start slowly with clothes, start with accessories and other small things. Do you have anyone else who would truly understand what you’re going through, because if you do, I would recommend talking to them about everything you’re feeling and thinking. You first just have to tell people you trust, and then you can start to work your way up to telling others. Hope this helps!

@BiancaMG thank you for all the advice 🙂 it would be safe to tell my family, but I’m honestly really scared, and it wouldn’t be safe to come out at school. But I think I am going to try changing my clothes, thinking of myself differently, and I’m going to represent myself how I want on this app! Thank you so much for responding and for supporting me, it really helped a lot!
