I know there are several bracelet selling veterans on here, so I was hoping to get some insight! Recently, a bunch of people have been telling me that I should sell some of my bracelets, which, until now, wasn’t really something I ever considered. I don’t know anything about selling bracelets, so I was hoping I could get some answers here to try and make the prospect a little more… reasonable. First, what platform do you generally sell bracelets on? Also, do you make a bracelet, then take a picture and see if anyone wants to buy it or do you take orders and make them as you go? I don’t have a ton of free time so I feel like having orders piling up might be a little stressful 😅 Another question I had was whether or not you could freely use and sell bracelets with patterns from this site that aren’t your own? Do people usually give the original creator a heads up message? Are you even allowed to use other people’s patterns? Also, I was wondering about the price range people normally go with- I was thinking something like either 1 or 2 dollars per hour I spend on it? Are there any other more popular pricing methods? What does a normal bracelet’s price generally look like? (As you can probably see, I have a looooooot of questions lol) I just thought that here would probably be the best place to get advice on this sort of thing and I really appreciate whatever insight you can give! Hello @blackcat79. I can answer some of your questions. You can do whatever you want with your own creations. However, you are not allowed to use other users' patterns to sell bracelets without their explicit permission.

@wallabee Thank you so much!! Just to make sure that I can actually read- I’m allowed to sell bracelets made off of my own patterns any time but would need permission from the creator of the pattern to sell a bracelet based on a pattern that isnt mine? Thank you for your time!!

You are actually allowed to sell bracelets made from any of the patterns you find on here. You're just not allowed to sell the patterns themselves. But it is a nice thing to ask the creator of the pattern. Not all are alright with it.

@wallabee patterns are protected by copyright. That means, you are not allowed to sell the patterns themselves. But you can sell items made from patterns. It's still nice to ask the creator of the pattern because not everyone is alright with it.I just messaged the other mods to double check if that's correct or not. I'll let you know once I have an update. |
