Heyyy if u guys don't know what aphantasia is or you don't know if u have it her is a definition from Google 😂
Aphantasia is the inability to form or use mental images as part of thinking or imagination. It is not classified as a medical condition but rather a characteristic, similar to handedness. Individuals with aphantasia may find it difficult to visualize people, places, or objects in their mind. It is estimated to affect about 1% to 4% of the population, meaning these individuals essentially have no "mind's eye". The concept gained popularity on social media in 2020, prompting discussions about how people.

I have aphantasia and it is almost impossible for me to visualize things in my head so instead I associate colors with people and numbers because I can't visualize people. There are different levels of aphantasia as well as hyperphantasia which are people who see thing extremely vividly. I would love to hear ur experience with this ❤️

hey! do not have aphantasia or hyperphantasia (i think, i can def visualize things) it seems like you probably have synesthesia like me!! So you might know about it through like seeing colors and stuff but that’s the uncommon albeit far more well known type. What you described with people having color associations might be a type of auras but basically the less common kind is when (for example) numbers have colors but it’s not like i see the color when someone says it it’s like a extremely strong association where they’re just each other if that makes sense. sometimes when writing i literally mess up my ms and 5s cuz they are so strongly the same.

these exercises in trying to visualize things are so interesting to me because i can’t visualize things voluntarily without mentally drawing them out, but i can naturally when reading! discussions like this intrigue me so much lowkey

@BabyWren12 That's so cool I don't really mess letters or numbers up cause it only happens when I really think about it, it doesn't happen naturally so I prob do have it just not as much

@kambri1224 when I'm reading its honestly just the words that go into my brain cause my brain can't make the visuals. And I also love convos like this cause like I don't know what people who can visualize things go thru and they don't know what I go thru so it's super cool to see peoples ways of seeing things
