I don’t think there is a proper way, but you can always put a comment on the pattern giving credit

What the others said, just write a comment in which you credit the original creator in which you mention the username and, if it is based on a specific pattern, pattern number. Make sure to @ the user and # the pattern number, so they turn into clickable links and the user you are crediting gets a notification.
