Heyyy I’m just learning how to style my wavy/curly hair and I was wondering if anyone has any tips/stories/anything to share about their curly hair routine and journey! |

Oohhh i have curly hair that i just recently learned how to do better. I use mousse while it’s still wet and finger-curl it section by section and then scrunch in some leave in, it’s been working pretty well. Use a diffuser to dry though I’m sure you’ve heard that before |

@CatsRule01 I agree! diffusing is a great way to get curl definition! I only do it sometimes tho cause it takes foreverrrr! |

I have naturally wavy hair, which sometimes will go into little ringlets. I have straightened it for years because I didn’t like the curl but now I’m beginning to embrace it, though I’m not sure. I honestly don’t do much to style it, just a hydrating leave in conditioner and it works so … yeah! ❤️ |

I love any Not Your Mother's products, and one thing I've found out about my hair at least is that using a curly hair shampoo/conditioner is better than additional products, because I HATE the feel of crusty hair. I love the Matrix a Curl Can Dream combo and if you're using gel/mousse, definitely a nice clarifying shampoo has helped me. I've been meaning to try hair oil because where I live is very dry, and my hair is bad at absorbing moisture, but I haven't got a chance to. I ALSO love heatless curls since my hair is more wavy, and the heatless curls stay in really well, and help define my natural curl pattern. OK, I could ramble for so long so let me know if you want more but I'm just going to shut up lol. |

I have recently started to use something called cowash- it’s basically like a cleansing conditioner. While you still have to actually shampoo your hair every so often, if you have horrifically dry hair like me, it’s very helpful. I use the brand Carol’s Daughter. I also really like the brand Uncle Funky’s Daughter (interesting name, but it works) and I use their Supercurl miracle moisture cream as well as their extra butter curl forming cream after I wash my hair. Leave in conditioner has also turned out to be a life saver! However, I am still near the beginning of my journey to try and deal with my mess of hair, so these are just some products I have found to work so far. Hope this helps! |
