how long should I cut my strings to make a normal pattern but long enough to be a necklack?

Its hard to say. I would just replace strings as I needed like I would an alpha

You can use a whole bobbin of thread for one string to be sure its long enough and it will be more comfortable to knot with,or around 3-4 meters of string but it depends on the pattern.

Well, depending on what length of string you use for a regular bracelet, multiply that by how many times bigger you want the necklace to be. Then maybe add a bit more to be on the safe side.
For example if you normally use 1 metre per string for a bracelet and you want your necklace to be around 3 times as long as the bracelet, multiply 1 metre by 3. I think that this should work. 😊

haha i was going to say something similar. i normally use my arm length of sting for a bracelet. i would use an old one and measure how many of them i would need to go around my neck. then do that many more arm lengths. hopefully that makes sense lol.
