I read shatter me recently and I absolutely love it and I was wondering if anyone has recommendations for dystopian books similar to it that isn’t hunger games ❤️

Never heard of SHATTER ME; had to look it up. While not dystopian per se, you might enjoy Bram Stoker's original DRACULA if you enjoyed the nonlinear writing style--the entire novel is told through diary entries, newspaper stories and a ship captain's logbook.

For pure sci-fi dystopia, you might like DO ANDROIDS DREAM OF ELECTRIC SHEEP? by Philip K. Dick (the inspiration for the movie BLADE RUNNER).

Another not-so rosy outlook on the future, especially for anyone sent to the penal colony on the moon is THE MOON IS A HARSH MISTRESS by Robert Heinlein. This one's especially prescient, since it was one of the earliest fictional conceptualization of artificial intelligence.

If you are not easily disturbed nor offended, IMMORTALITY, INC. by Robert Sheckley might be of interest. A man who died in the '50s during a car accident finds himself alive and inside a new host body in the 2100s, and has to learn to deal with a world in which mankind has figured out all of the mysteries of life after death, meaning that things we used to consider supernatural or holy have perfectly mundane, scientific explanations that we can bend to our will, at least for those rich enough to afford it (a good read, but don't say you weren't warned).

omg im actually reading shatter me right now! some other dystopian books im reading include: gone by michael grant, the young elites by marie lu, and the inheritance games (not technically dystopia but still good). There are so many good dystopia books (maze runner, divergent, red queen, the selection, and so many more) but those are just a few. dystopia is like my favorite genre so let me know if you have any good recs or if you want more!

Omg, I love dystopian books, I got into them around two years ago and also read Shatter Me along with them. I would recommend Divergent. It's a really good dystopian about different factions and stuff. Also my favorite book which is called Delirium in which love is considered a disease. Including many things from Lauren Oliver. 😊

I remember reading the Legend series by Marie Lu and really enjoying it! The Red Queen, the Maze Runner, and the Renegades were also quite good. While I haven’t read them (but I hope to at some point) I believe that George Orwell’s 1984 and the Handmaiden’s Tale are some classic dystopias if you’re looking for something that leans a little less into ya fantasy
