Not too familiar with the program. Is it just a matter of learning words and phrases transliterated into English pronunciation, or does it actually teach learners how to read Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji?

@GiuseppeK it also teaches you Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji. I've learned all of Hiragana and an half way through with Katakana and Kanji.

Ah, most of us can probably learn Hiragana and Katakana in one night's study for each. If you're truly halfway through with Kanji, I tip my hat to you.It's my understanding that if we can memorize about 2,000 characters (and knowing when it's Kunyomi versus Onyomi...), we can ready pretty much anything. I only ever managed to get about 500 in my head. |

@GiuseppeK it's definitely a complicated process at first and honestly I'm sure you've come further then I havebut so far I'm enjoying it and my friend is making me watch anime and slowly am starting to see my process like that. Just to be clear anime is not the reason I started learning Japanese 🙈 I've been wanting to learn forever and started way before 😢😁 |

I used to be able to speak Indonesian fluently when I was 5 years old, but when we moved to Mauritius I didn't practice, so I end up forgetting.
