Hello knitting machine enthusiasts!!!I was given an old knitting machine (a brother kh-930e) with some knitting machine yarn. I have never used a knitting machine before so I am just trying to learn. After following several tutorials and reading the manual for setting up the machine, I tried to cast yarn onto some hooks. However, the yarn isn’t forming loops around the hooks. I didn’t really see much information about this issue online so am struggling to figure out the problem and fix it. Some potential issues suggested were that the yarn was threaded incorrectly or that the tension was wrong. It seems like the tension mast is threaded correctly, but I’m not sure about the k-carriage as I don’t feel much resistance in the yarn. I also tried using different yarn tensions on the tension dial but none of them worked. If anyone can help that would be very much appreciated! |
