Riddle : a boy sees his dog on the other side of a river with no bridge, the boy calls his dog and the dog comes. When the dog gets to the other side of the river he’s completely dry. How is this possible?

Well, based on my lived experience of that occasion when I drove my Chevrolet to the levee and, to my astonishment, found that it was dry, I'm willing to believe that the same *could* happen to a river.Or perhaps there was a helpful ferryman who found the situation adorable and assisted in the reunion? Or maybe it wasn't a very big river at all? The mind positively reels at the possibilities. 🤔 |

@GiuseppeK Close! The answer to the riddle is that the river had frozen over, so the dog walked across to his owner without getting wet

Was it Sid?As embarrassed as I am to admit it, I've never actually seen any of the TOY STORY movies (my favorite ex found that completely unacceptable, and she was going to rectify that at some point. Alas...). But I know of the character just a bit since an acquaintance dubbed a kiddo-sized punching bag at the gym "Sid" in his honor: https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=5b71cfa89013eb9f&sxsrf=AE3TifM2Q041BNcptaxCw7VRi81HdbDcuA:1757961132045&udm=2&fbs=AIIjpHxU7SXXniUZfeShr2fp4giZ1Y6MJ25_tmWITc7uy4KIeioyp3OhN11EY0n5qfq-zEMZldv_eRjZ2XLYc5GnVnME7glWodDcaQwvGYJtospyF4hao4VocMoniUVvlzzwRcCLYvfsjPeiuln4CZ9mxRNzMJl71rp-WEM_b89yTboF0wE9FSbwRYrSVuB6YHexvLk_d7r_74zDurdYUrhSbdL5TbQGiA&q=bob+punching+dummy+kid&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwixzbfGs9uPAxXpwjgGHa54AOgQtKgLegQIExAB&biw=1440&bih=721&dpr=2#vhid=INAeu2kSp7nxwM&vssid=mosaic |

@Aalijah it's a respiratory disease! Its etymology is a bunch of latin & greek:Pneumono: Lungs Ultra; Beyond (usually small) micro & scopic: Small looking SIlico: silicon Volcano: Volcano Coni: made of dust -Osis: Suffix for medical condition So from that you get it is a lung disease that occurs from inhaling particles of silicon dust. It has a much shorter synonym of silicosis I have a trivia question: What is fordlandia and why was it created? |

@silentgirl Giving myself partial credit on that one: I don't recall ever hearing of the place, but after looking it up, I *did* correctly surmise why it was established before reading further. Exit Giuseppe, a wiser boy (Thank you 👍). |

That was probably a somewhat hard one., I'll admit that. Here's a much easier one:What is the literal translation of the Spanish word for toes? |

Foot fingers (by the way, that's the case in many languages including mine)What is the first foreign country you would reach if you travel due south from Detroit? |

That would be Canada, and much as I enjoy the classic Journey tune "Don't Stop Believin'," there really isn't much of a "South Detroit" to speak of for that very reason. 🤔
