Everyone tells me their origin of bracelet making, so here is mine:In elementary school, one of the afternoon supervisors showed me how to make a disc bracelet (my actual first). In summer 2022, I started making a bunch of those and sent them to my old best friend. She sent me an pic from the Internet with "real" friendship bracelets and meant, that the disc bracelets were "too easy". And because of this I was angry to her. The next day, I took my embroidery thread and searched on YouTube instructions for #1 and after a few fails, I had my first bracelet. I did so much in Summer 2022 and learnt more like Chevron,... I think I've started my first BB pattern in 2023 (forgot the #) and in 2024 I learnt alphas. And in April 2025, I created a BB account (my "best decision ever") Yes, this is my whole origin. If my friend didn't send me this pic, then I would be an total newbie here 😅 (And thanks for reading this extremely long forum post) |

Mine was the Zipper bracelet idk the number but I learned it on mashaknots and it worked out great it’s still one of my favorite patterns even if I make more intricate ones now

My first Bracelet was made in 2020 (pretty sure I still have it), and was a Rainbow Plaid. I remember asking my Mum if we could go get some string so I could try it. Pretty wonky, but actually looked decent. Only fell into the bracelet rabbit hole after that (my Dad gets pretty annoyed because I have quite a few that are unfinished-)

My first bracelet I made with my sister when I was 7 or so. I can't remember super clearly, and have since lost most of my bracelets due to a move, but, pretty sure it was Pattern #1
