I think there are huge differences between different faucets even in the same city or building. At my parent's place I like all the water. At my place too. At work some of the water is absolutely disgusting. At university it can vary a lot. The ones at the uni gym are really disgusting. I've got a friend who's basically an expert on the water in university. She knows how all the water tastes and will tell you about it. |

I want to talk so long that you might doubt reading it. 😅... In my country, the water is different in each region! It's not a problem; it's just a difference in climate in the country. But I really like this feature; it’s very cool. For example, in my city, which is in central Iran, the water is salty, and we have devices in homes and some workplaces called 'water desalination units' that make the water really tasty and eliminate the salty taste. The pronunciation of 'Ab shirin kon' in Persian is: Ab shirin kon. But in other regions, it’s different; I only know one example: in the northeast of the country, the water in Mashhad has gypsum in it!! They have a different device that removes the gypsum from the water, and they wash their dishes with this water and so on.I'm sorry for talking so much, but thank you for reading.😅😂 |

@Samin_Iran uhh I don’t remember talking abt bottled water but I usually drink like, Dasani or nestle or that glacier one with the mountain on the cover idk. It tastes kinda nasty and irony for some reason, idk it just tastes like tap water.

Let me go off for two minutes here as a water snob_ ALL WATER IS NOT THE SAME. Dasani is not the same as Aquafina. Mineral water especially is disgusting. The water in central London is particularly horrible, including store bought water.

posted too early how fun ANYWAYS the water quality improves around Milton Keynes. Icelandic tap water is particularly enthralling- unfettered by minerals or chemicals as far as I can tell. Tap water in the US also tends to have a taste, although I can't quite place it. In general, I order loads of ice in restaurants to tone down the taste of water. I have always been told the water is the same and I should just hydrate, but it isn't. Not all of it is H20, so much has been compromised. Faucets are also important factors- a grimy faucet will produce absolutely disgusting water, as opposed to a faucet where filters have been just changed out. Metallic water will not be accepted either- I'm here to hydrate, not diedrate. Room temp water is better than cold water, which is better than hot water, and I will die on this hill. In the event of a water compromised by a mysterious taste, get a tea bag and cook that bad boy. Water should not be consumed without thorough inspection and thought. Respect water and the snobs. One exception: all ice is the same. Thank you all!!

An indication of a serious cheesesteak joint far from the City of Brotherly Love is when there's a sign in the window informing customers that the rolls are brought in from Philadelphia. There's just something about the local tap water ("Schuylkill River Punch" as it's affectionately known) that makes for the proper bread texture.

the best water i’ve ever tasted is when i went backpacking this summer, we filtered water from one of those hand pump filters from lakes we passed and it just hit different. especially the second day bc i ran out of water with like 2 peaks left to go, lowkey i can’t tell if it was the water or the circumstances 😭 probably both
