since it’s summer and most people ik are getting tans (including myself) and it made me wonder how many people tan vs burn. i usually get a very mild burn during my first time that i’m in the sun for a long time during late spring/early summer. do y’all burn or tan? |

oh and my mom is very light complected and my dad is pretty dark. i’m pretty pale but i get super tan in the summertime

I'm genuinely surprised by all y'all's complaints about your tans. I went outside for half an hour this morning (not even midday) and am burnt to a crisp now to a point where I had to put a damp towel and an icepack on my face and top of the head for the rest of the day.I would kill to be able to tan. Firstly because I wouldn't burn and hurt so much so fast, and secondly because my skin is so light that you can see veins (and extreme eye bags) in my face and it's not pretty. As a kid, I was told that if I tan, those will be harder to see, but to this day I never managed lol Not saying you can't complain about your tan, but I still would love one. |

I tan on my arms and legs but burn everywhere else. especially my scalp and nose

@IndyHaine im so sorry! i hope you get to feeling better soon! i’m so thankful i tan because my mom gets horrible sun burns and i see how painful it can be! i would much rather be a bit darker than in pain. again, i hope you get to feeling better! <3
