Heyy!! If you’re class of 2025, tell me:

- what classes are you currently taking?
- what do you plan on studying in college?
- what’s one thing you love about high school so far?
- and what’s one thing you hate?

I’ll start: I’m currently taking AP NSL Gov, IB algebra 2, computer science fundamentals, IB french 4, IB english 9, dance, and IB chemistry. I haven’t quite decided what I want to study in college yet, but rn it’s either entrepreneurship, media and photography, or french and francophone culture. One thing I love about high school so far is the freedom, and one thing I hate is that some teachers at my school still treat us as babies when we’re not.

i’m class of 2025, in college though not high school! the classes i’m taking are beginning hebrew, intro to theatre, intro to psychology and this really cool education seminar. i also take clarinet lessons and i’m in the orchestra and choir. even though i’m in college, i’m still not sure what i’m going to end up majoring in - right now i’m thinking a major in psych with a minor in education. i’ll see what happens though! i love so many things about college, including the campus, my classes, the extracurriculars i’m involved in, and the freedom. i don’t hate anything about college so far but the food in the main dining hall is meh 😂 it sounds like you have a really fun (and rigorous, wow) courseload though! and with deciding what you want to study in college, college is where you’ll be able to try classes in so many different subject areas, so it’s ok if you haven’t decided coming in what you ultimately want to study. it’s so great that you’re thinking about it though and good luck with high school! 🙂

I’m taking all on level classes, PE,choir, and healthcare science which is the career pathway for medicine. I plan on getting my degree to be an RN. One thing I love is the freedom. You get to sit anywhere and lines aren’t even a thing during fire drill? One thing I hate is how rude upperclassmen can be all because your a freshie. Also I hate how difficult it is to get into certain things like sports and classes

@Lavander // omg yeah the upperclassmen can be pretty annoying sometimes... smh. It just bothers me because they act like they weren't freshmen once. And the juniors talk smack about the sophomores like they weren't just sophomores last year 😂 😭

I’m taking honors geometry, honors geography, honors biology, honors English, theater, and honors Spanish 1 (I also participate in several clubs and am a cheerleader and cross country runner) I’m planning to go to Texas A&M and get some sort of botany degree, preferably in field botany, cuz I love plants. I also want to take some sort of fun English lit classes cuz I plan to be an author on the side of whatever my regular job is. One thing I love so far is how excited everyone get about events like hoco and our volleyball team going to state. I go to a small Christian school and the community is really tight. One thing I hate is one of our cheer coaches (we have two) because she’s always saying things and then acting like she never said anything, she acts like she knows everything about cheer even tho she was only a cheerleader for a little bit of high school like 30 years ago, and she just generally sucks the life out of things.

@booknerd13 // aww I’m sorry to hear that. I’m also a cheerleader and I’ve had a rlly bad coach, too. Just try to make the most of it, and if anything happens, let an adult know so that they can handle the situation. I hope you can still enjoy cheer, though (:

I'm taking all pre-ap core classes, intro to engineering, theatre 1, spanish 2, and athletics. I really want to study theatre performance (as in just the acting part) in college but I feel I'll let people down by not doing engineering or somethin like that. I love that at lunch we can sit wherever we want and I hate all the stereotypes and the certain cliques that people judge you on

@Ale_537 // yeah the stereotypes can be pretty annoying. I’m a cheerleader and I’m in the international baccalaureate program which is a prestigious global program known for challenging classes and things like that. Anyway, ppl assumed I wasn’t in that program just because I’m a cheerleader and they assumed I wasn’t smart because of the whole “dumb cheerleader” stereotype. And ppl also make fun of ppl in band, theatre, and choir and it’s rlly annoying. I’m not in any of those classes, but many of my friends are and it’s hard seeing them being made fun of all the time.

@nev_m_07 yes i agree! i’m also a cheerleader and i hate cheer stereotypes! I take all honors and (not to brag 😂) but I’m really smart! like who decided cheerleaders had to all be dumb and stuck up! all the cheerleaders i know are smart and funny and kind!
