Patterns for strings of variegated color

Please give me some normal pattern suggestions where I can use variegated string colors. I have several different colors of variegated string. I have used variegated string in pattern #28886 to replace strings A,B, & C with one color, and in pattern #176233 to replace B with one color & C with another color.

pretty simple but daisy chains, spirals/staircases, and vertical waves are all pretty with variegated thread!
