Hi. So I am currently trying to submit a variation for #43638. And the color order is acaaabbbdbbebbbaaafa. C, D, E, and F are all different colors. When I saved the pattern, it came up with a warning that "Top string colors don't match the bottom ones (2 strings)." How can I fix this so the top strings match the bottom ones? For reference: Top strings: https://drive.google.com/file/d/10Cz3RdVYeNOg-_oXv-2cVuGmqxBAPAL1/view?usp=sharing Bottom strings: https://drive.google.com/file/d/16KiqRpvc5scfPQjkqq3qeY1QmNUY5KeK/view?usp=sharing (Please tell me if the links don't work. Thanks!) |

If you're submitting a variation and not a pattern, it doesn't matter if the top strings don't match the bottom, so you can submit it as it is 🙂We just ask that the top strings match the bottom for the main pattern itself to make it easier for others to follow along when tying. |

If you got way too much time on your hands, you can recreate the pattern from scratch (make it as a new pattern) and then repeat it as many times needed for the strings to match. The generator will recognise it as a variation, if you used identical knots, but this really isn't necessary. It's alright if strings don't match in variations. Your variation won't be declined for that.
