Hey all. I just wanted to ask how you guys segment knot bracelets that have a zigzag, like #49872. Celtic knots (#105635) and those that are twisted (#106167)

I don't really get how to segment knot these types of bracelets. Any words of advice help.

I find it easiest to segment knot when most of the knots are similar to the type of segment I am knotting.
The zig zag has more forward knots so I would do a candy stripe towards the right.
The celtic has lots of knots going towards the center so I would segment as a downward pointing chevron.
The twisted has even more forward knots so I would also do a candy stripe towards the right.

This is just how I figure it out and I don't exactly know if it is the most efficient method but it works for me

#49872:

f candystripe until row 3, b candystripe until row 6, f candystripe until row 11, b candystripe until row 14...

Basically you tie it like a candystripe until you hit fb or bf knots. After those knots you switch the direction.

#105635 is a little more complicated:

The pattern has 8 repeating rows. I drew the segments in starting in row 5.

First you tie the segments 1 to 5 as b candystripes, then you tie 6 to 7, 8 to 9 and 10 to 12 as f candystripes, then you tie 13 to 17 as b candystripes and finally do knot 18.

#106167 is a lot like the previous pattern

Row 27 to 7: triangle on the right, f candystripe in the middle, triangle on the left
Row 8 to 16: triangle on the right, f candystripe in the middle, triangle on the left
Row 17 to 21: chevron in the middle, triangles on the sides
Row 22 to 26: triangles on the sides, upside-down chevron in the middle

My advice for figuring out the segments: take a screenshot and draw them into the pattern.

I'm not sure how you segment knot #105635. It seems kind of all over the place. Can you clarify further?

Maybe this one is better

As I said, 8 repeating rows and you do the same thing over and over again, just with different colours.

Ah, so I see that I start from the right then move to the left.
