My daughter received a very basic woven bracelet (probably ordered in a bulk package on Amazon) and really loves the pattern and wants to recreate it. I have searched and searched to no avail. I have a photo - it’s not a regular braid or fishtail but I can’t figure out what it is. Is anyone willing to look at a photo and help us? Is there a way to share a photo here? Thanks so much! |

You can share the photo via imgur or a similar website or set it as your profile picture

How about making the image your avatar for us?If we visit our own page here, "Change Avatar" should be one of the three options in the orange boxes on the top right of the screen (hopefully not insulting anyone's intelligence). |

I tried changing my profile photo. The top is a stack of the bracelets, under that a single bracelet. Not sure if that helps… if not I’ll try and link a photo.

I took a look and I’m not quite sure which bracelet you’re asking about, but most of them just like simple braided cords or a cardboard wheel bracelet. Perhaps try sending an image link?

If it's one of the two by themselves at the bottom to which we're referring, this is the style the above poster had mentioned:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRtMjpCgogk (I don't think it's anywhere among the patterns here.) |

Those look like either braided bracelets (requiring no knotting, just the knowhow to braid) or cardboard wheel bracelets which are really simple and fun to make. For cardboard wheel bracelets, you cut out a wheel of cardboard (about the size of your palm) and you cut 8 times into the cardboard. You don't want to cut OUT cardboard, just make little cuts, where you can put string. After that, cut a VERY small hole in the middle. Then you cut a arms width length of string, 7 times (use different colors to make it look better) and tie them together with a regular knot. Push the knot through the hole and flip over the cardboard to put the side with the knot down. Put one string in each little cut (one of the eight). there should be one cut without a string. Take the third string to the right of the empty cut, and put in into the empty cut. And repeat until the bracelet is long enough. Hope this helps, and if you need a better explanation, I will try to make a youtube video, and link it here. |

Thank you all so much for your help! It does not appear to be a simple braid - I think I would have been able to figure that one out. All the bracelets in my profile photo are the same - just the upper part is a big stack - a screenshot from a bulk pack from Amazon. I took a close up photo of the bracelet my daughter received. It could be the wheel? This this appears to only be four strands though… can the wheel be done with four? It’s very thin compared to the tutorial video. Again, thanks for helping me figure this out!
