Hey!there are plenty of patterns with just letters on them like #103203 #97462 #97250 #98705 #96864 #92485 #94016 #91640 #89685 #83153 #83022 #80826 #76065 #74426 #74334 #73691 #73675 #73692 #45805 and many more 😎 . From those you can choose the font/size you like and assemble them yourself! That way you can always create whatever words you want without making a different pattern for it every single time so it saves you both time and effort! Enjoy! 😊 |

First, you pick one of the patterns, lets say you love pattern #53251 and decide to make this one.then you will have to see what word you gonna make, in your case this would be "sham". Now you count how TALL (aka the height) the letters are. Here you see the letters are 5 high but in order to have some background/make it easier, I suggest putting some extra height in. My suggestion would be to add 2 on each side: which gives you a total of 9 base strings. Now you have your base strings, you want to count the number of rows you will need. I suggest putting in 2 or 3 rows before you start with the letters and 2-3 after the last one. so 2 rows + 3 rows for the letter S + 1 row between the previous and next letter + 3 rows for the letter H + 1 row between the previous and next letter + 3 rows for the letter A + 1 row between the previous and next letter + 5 rows for the letter M + 2 rows to end = 21 rows! So, if you use this pattern, you will need 9 base strings and 21 rows in order to make this pattern. I chose this one as an example because it is one of the smaller ones so easier to count. If you want to use more detailed or larger ones or ones with "shades" you will need to count those extra rows/base strings in your r design. ALWAYS use the tallest letter as the standard for your base strings and the width of them as the rows UNLESS you want the letters to be read vertical, then it will be the other way around (but the widest letter as guide for base strings instead of the tallest). I hope this made sense and that this guide is helpful! Enjoy! |
