I'm going to start my first alpha soon, using #36730. I don't really know how it works, beside base strings, and tying across. Any advice for me😭 (also, do base strings show, or does it matter what color I use)

@Selah_Ross Base strings show at the end of your bracelet for the ties I tend to use just black or white. If you have a ruler or some sort of card (bank card, ID, etc) use that to push your knots up so your rows stay nice and straight. I use the flat back method one to keep my colors from being all over the place and two to keep it neater and the edges straighter. Always double check you have the right number of base strings lol.

@eupathy0 okay, but how do you do the different colors? on one row? and are the knots the same as normal knots?

I recommend watching MashaKnots' video on the flat alpha technique. She explains everything.
