Although my experience with alphas is limited (really only started on them very recently), I tend to knot on the tight side, and between that and Masha'a reassurance that she's never had an issue with the threads on the back coming undone, I haven't yet felt the need to use glue or anything like that. That said, have you already mastered the "clean back" technique for alphas? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCXIzmm0f3c I couldn't abide the spaghetti strand mess the backside of alphas was making, so I took this strategy to heart. So far, it's working well for me. Perhaps *too* well at times--there's nothing like the realization the the backside of the bracelet which wasn't meant to be seen looks BETTER than the display side... I acknowledge that's probably entirely a skill issue (I'll get better, I promise). |

like giuseppe said, the clean back alpha technique can help. you could also sew or glue some felt, fabric, etc on the back after you tie the strings?

I use hot glue because the rubbery texture doesn’t feel too horrible to me, and since I don’t have a very powerful hot glue gun, I can use my finger to smooth out the glue so it’s relatively smooth and lies flat.

Had a same question… is there any other way to cover the back of an alpha for more complicated patterns where clean back is not feasable

@craftnflowSome people glue a small piece of fabric to the back to hide the strands |
