How do I choose the best type of yarn for making wall hangings?

Recently I've found myself interested in trying to make wall hangings, but I can't decide what type of thread would be best for this. I used to make friendship bracelets in the past, but they were all normal patterns that only used a forward knot. Usually I use crochet thread to make bracelets, but when I tried to make a wall hanging I thought the result was getting too thin (?) and I wouldn't be able to see the details properly.Have you got any suggestions for the best type of thread to use for big/large wall hangings? PS: I'm Brazilian, so I probably don't have easy access to the same types of brands used in the US or Europe. I would like an explanation focussed more on the thickness variation of each thread rather than the brands. |

For both bracelets and wall hangings people usually use 'embroidery floss' or it's also called 'embroidery thread', you can usually get large amounts of it for pretty cheap on amazon
