What type of loop should I use?

I want to start a bracelet that doesn’t have a triangle in the pattern it’s all parallel lines just like the pattern you start with when you make a pattern. I don’t know if I should use the teardrop loop. What loop should I do??

parallel as in candy stripes? I would start a slanted/half-triangle start

so it is a candy stripe. Basically what you can do is just making a half triangle end. There are many tutorial videos on triangle starts/ends but I couldn't find one only about the half.triangle one so here is Alex's Innovations' video with the time stamp https://youtu.be/N6-KQDLeKik?t=1479

You do have the option to tie a knot and start knotting, it works, but for a more finished look you can do a half triangle end,

* I didn’t finish my last message and pressed send on accident: you can do a half triangle end like other people were saying. But if you wanted to, a teardrop loop works with any pattern.
