Selling bracelets without a shop?

I want to sell bracelets but not online since I'm young. My cousin lives in a subdivision and was thinking of setting something up there. Does anyone have any tips on how to sell face to face, how much to price items, or what would sell the best? I only make alphas and want to price them high enough that I'll get my money's worth but low enough where people will actually buy them.

For all sorts of reasons, it might be for the best to consider setting up shop at or very close to some sort of local flea market/swap meet. Safety in numbers; other vendors can look out for you while you return the favor. Haven't been back to the States in years, but it sure doesn't sound as though people have been getting any friendlier there, and I don't like the thought of anyone messing with you while you're on your own.Part of the fun is determining what a "fair market price" would be for our wares. Personally, I deal almost exclusively in normals and would only make an alpha upon special request--probably a skill issue, but I find them way too time consuming when it's necessary to crank out a high volume. For the longest time before it occurred to me to set up shop, I'd been allowing a café owner to display samples of my stuff near the register on a donation basis (proceeds going to the children's ward of a local hospital). I let him figure out the numbers based on what folks were willing to put into the box. As for what sells the best? That's another part of the fun that's up to us to discover. From my first day hunkering down at the farmer's market, I've had my trusty dry erase board and marker to help me keep track of which patterns sell, so I can watch the trends and try (futilely most of the time...) to get ahead of the demand on the bestsellers. Perhaps above all else, make certain to have fun doing it. To me, making some extra pocket money is just a nice bonus from getting out in the community, meeting new people (especially when she's cute), and learning/practicing this beast of a language. If it would be of any use/inspiration to you, I can share a glimpse of my typical setup: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aiUCmuFoz4E If I can be of any further assistance (assuming I was any in the first place...), ask away! |

@GiuseppeK thank you for the information. No matter what we did, we would have an adult with us. You just have to be 18 to sell online and I'm a couple years off. I'll definitely put what you said into consideration and see what my city does in terms of markets.

last summer i did a children’s entrepreneur market with my best friend and it was good because it had good security, there might be one in your state! i think most people wouldn’t pay more than $8-$10 for a bracelet, but it definitely depends on the size, complexity, etc etc, just make sure you don’t sell yourself short!
