I take so long to finish bracelets because I don’t have the motivation to actually do them. It’s so hard especially when I am in a slump to try to do bracelets without getting frustrated when I would mess up then I wouldn’t even try to fix it because I would just quit on it. Anyone have tips or tricks for this?

@think well, calm down, think about how beautiful your bracelet will be and how people will react when they see your beautiful bracelet! but also if it goes bad, leave it and then after a while when you feel better, continue!! I hope it helps!! |

@pulserasAG cool tip! I'm sometimes not motivated on making bracelets too. I just want that they are finished and when I look at my (started) bracelet, then I think that this will take forever (especially on alphas)

Sometimes I literally just need a break. I will set bracelets aside for a bit and focus on one of my other (many) hobbies.

Unless we're blessed enough for knot making to genuinely be putting food on our table and shoeing our horse, I wouldn't worry too much about it. As with any other hobby, let us not forget that it's supposed to be FUN--if we need any more motivation than that, it could be we're going about things the wrong way. The day this becomes a chore, I for one am out like a body positive dodgeballer. Besides, "motivation" is a quality: we've either got it or we don't. Any cute/pithy words shared here that might fire us up would be fleeting at best. |

@GiuseppeK I truly struggled reading your reply 😂 It's too early for this lol. But I do agree.

I put on something I like to listen to. A favorite album I haven't listed to in a while, a long audio book, for example. Then I can just focus on the pattern and the work in front of me. I get a lot of progress completed that way!I also like watching tv series, but then I work slower, and don't give the visuals of the show my full attention. And every once in a while, I just sit in the quiet and work and get into the 'zone' for a bit. Very relaxing! Recently, I've been watching 'Billions,' 'Carnival,' and listening to the Song of Fire and Ice, then watching through the GoT show while I knot. Good stuff! |

@ab_crafts me too! I always hear my "good mood" Playlist or say to my speaker that I want to listen music (then a random mix of songs appears)! That's actually crazy 😅
