How do I avoid holes on normal bracelets?

My bracelets always end up having holes. Are there any specific ways that I can avoid those? Thanks!

Make sure to pull the first half of the knot tight before making the second half. The first half of the knot determines the placement of the knot, the second half secures it in place.
