Is it only possible to create patterns from the website or is it possible from the app? Thanks!

Unfortunately you can only create patterns on the website. But if you really want to make a pattern on your phone, you could just go to the website on your phone (that might be obvious to you but I didn’t think to do that until someone suggested it😂)

@nandini-_r Go to the website, hover over your username, click “create patterns”, then click the top “new pattern” button.

You choose your colors in the “colors used section”. Each color corresponds to a letter. In the “colors order” section, you type the order that you want your strings to be. Each letter that you type represents a string, and the color of the string will depend on which letter you type.

The “knots” section is where you type the knots that make up your pattern. An “f” means a forward knot, a “b” means a backward knot, an “fb” means a forward-backward knot, and a “bf” means a backward-forward knot.

If you have an even number of strings, each odd row will be made up of half as many knots as there are strings, and each even row will have one less knot than each odd row. For example, if you have eight strings, each odd row will have four knots and each even row will have three knots. If you have an odd number of strings, each odd row will be made up of the number of strings divided by two plus .5, and each even row will have one less knot than each odd row. For example, if you have nine strings, each odd row will have five knots and each even row will have four knots.

Type in your knots, then click “save & test” to see what your pattern looks like. If you go to the tutorials section, you’ll find a tutorial on creating normal patterns using graph paper, which I think is easier than using the generator. Once you make it in graph paper, you just transfer it to the generator.

I hope this helps! Let me know if it didn’t, and I can try explaining it in a different way😊

@yakovkasap are you asking how to add strings when actually knotting a bracelet or when creating a pattern with the generator on the website?

@yakovkasap if you are creating a normal pattern, you add strings by simply adding more letters into the string order. say if you have 3 colors and you want 12 strings you could type in aabbccccbbaa into the string order. you could also add colors by clicking on the blank space next to the colored spaces and then moving your mouse around the color spectrum provided. you’d change the default colors the same way. if you are creating an alpha pattern, you could go to draw alpha and click on the plus signs to the sides to increase the dimensions on the sides. you can also add/take away colors by clicking on the color hexes, moving your mouse around the color spectrum, and then clicking on the individual pixels to change their color. when a color has no more pixels, it disappears. i hope i answered your question! 🙂

@Gypszy7 I don’t think you can make a pattern that goes between alpha and normal pattern they have to be separate patterns

It is only possible to create a pattern from the website, not on the app... You can find it by clicking on your username at the top and then clicking create a pattern
