For me it usually depends on the pattern but I love doing ombré and paring greens, blues and pinks together. Also all the pastel colour go well with each other!

I would recommend to use black as the background and very vibrant colors (like gradient: purple,blue,green) that's what I like but I use a lot of pastels too

I love purple, pink, grey, black and white together. Also love gradients! Also teal, blues, reds, whites. Purples and oranges are cute together. Browns and blues are lovely! Pinks and greens work great together.
